These terms set out what is needed in order to use Manse Clock (gcdo.kr, "the site"). By using the site you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these terms is to set out the conditions and procedures for using the Manse calendar calculation service the site provides, together with the rights and duties of the operator and the user.
Article 2 (What the service provides)
The site provides the following.
- Real-time calculation and display of the four pillars (year, month, day, hour) for the current moment
- Lookup of the Stem-Branch pair for a chosen date and double-hour
- Entry times of the 24 Solar Terms
- Introductory material on the Manse calendar, Stem-Branch pairs, and Yin-Yang and the Five Elements
What the site provides ends at calculating the Stem-Branch pairs and showing them. Interpretation services — chart reading, fortune judgments, date selection, compatibility and the like — are not provided.
Article 3 (Fees and sign-up)
The service is free and requires no sign-up. Running costs are covered by the revenue from the advertising placed on the page.
Article 4 (Nature of metaphysical information, and disclaimer)
This article is something every user must read.
- What the site provides is a result produced by the calculation rules of traditional East Asian metaphysics. It is not a scientifically validated prediction.
- Responsibility for judgments made on the basis of information from the site, and for their consequences, rests with the user.
- Information from the site may not be used as a basis for medical, legal, financial or investment decisions.
For such matters, please consult a qualified professional.
- The operator works for accuracy in the results but does not warrant that they are free of error or omission. Results may differ from those of another Manse calendar because of a delay in updating Solar Term data, a difference in calculation standards, and so on.

results change with the standards adopted.
The standards this site uses (Start of Spring, the Solar Terms, the 23:30 day-pillar change, and not applying the Late Ja Hour) are all disclosed on the
About page. If a value differs from another Manse calendar, please first check whether it is a difference in standards.
Article 5 (Changes to and suspension of the service)
The operator may change or discontinue the content of the service. The service may be suspended temporarily for unavoidable reasons such as server maintenance, equipment failure, a communication outage or a natural disaster, and the operator bears no liability for loss arising from this.
Article 6 (Copyright)
Copyright in the explanatory material, tables, screen design and programs on the site belongs to the operator. The following may not be done without prior consent.
- Reproducing, distributing or transmitting the site's content, or creating derivative works from it
- Harvesting the site's calculation results automatically (crawling or scraping) and supplying them to another service
- Wrapping the site in a frame (iframe) or the like and offering it as one's own service
Referring to the content for personal, non-commercial purposes, or quoting it with the source (gcdo.kr) stated, is however permitted.
Rights in the original 24 Solar Terms data belong to the institution that computed and published it.
Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)
- Automated access or repeated requests that place an excessive load on the server
- Conduct that obstructs normal operation of the site, or that exploits a vulnerability
- Clicking ads repeatedly on purpose, or influencing advertising revenue by improper means
Article 8 (Advertising)
Third-party advertising is placed on the site. The content of an ad, and any transaction made through it, are a matter between the advertiser and the user; the operator takes no part in it and bears no liability for it. The cookies used for advertising are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Changes to these terms)
When these terms change, the changes and their effective date will be announced on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change is deemed agreement to the changed terms.
Article 10 (Resolution of disputes)
These terms are construed under the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to use of the service are resolved by agreement between the operator and the user; where no agreement is reached, the competent court decides.
